Oh man. Life has gotten pretty crazy the last month or so and as a result I have failed to truly document my training since August 1st, whoops!
In a nut shell, training has been rock solid! I have followed every workout I was supposed to do and the weather has finally started to feel more like Autumn, so that’s helped me tremendously!
Highlights from the past few weeks:
- While on a week vacation with the hubs and some of his relatives, I ran 10+ miles every day, and it was absolutely glorious. While others may prefer to do more sedentary things for relaxation, nothing makes me feel more relaxed an at ease than being outdoors breakin’ a sweat. So that’s what I did each and every day, I was up before the sun and was able to run a total of 63 miles that week. Holla! I even got in on some cycling, a ton of kayaking and a yoga class at an amazing studio, Yen Yoga & Fitness.
- Solid long runs: I have gotten in great long runs every weekend, including two 18-milers, one 20- miler and a 21 miler! The 21-miler was at an average of 8:26 pace, which I couldn’t be more pumped about! Holla!
- I’ve gotten to run with some great ladies as I have finally settled in the new apartment, and have reconnected with some of my favorite running buddies in the C-bus!
- I’ve started back to my regular strength training routine which took a back seat to things like vacation and packing to move. It feels good to be back in touch with my swoll self!
