Another solid week! I can’t believe I’ve already been training for NYC for an entire month! The workout I’m most proud of is my hilly Saturday run, it was brutal, hot, humid and I was able to maintain a solid pace. I didn’t feel the best on my long run, the first 7 miles were great, miles 8-12 were a major struggle, and then I gave myself a pep talk and finished strong. I think this is partly due to the fact that I did my hill workout less than 24 hours prior to my long run, and I fueled like crap over the weekend. Spending the night at a friend’s and attending a 1 year old’s birthday party will do that to ya. Lots of pizza, candy, chips, etc…Garbage in=garbage out. I also struggled with waking up as early as I would have hoped on most days this week. I need to work on unplugging a little earlier in the evenings and getting in to bed so that I can get up earlier. This has always been an epic struggle for me. One thing I’m hoping will help: I am putting myself on a screen-time diet. I do really well with this on the weekends, I am rarely on any social media sites, and I am out and about living and enjoying the outdoors. Time to start implementing this into my weekday life. You saw it here first: Operation spend more time living and less time on the internet is in full-effect!
96 days until I cross the finish line in Central Park!
