Awhile back I came across a white dresser that I swooped up from an antique shop. The same day I was in the market for a new mirror. Mirrors are expensive, and I was on the look out for anything that maybe with a lil’ paint and TLC, could be doctored up. I uncovered this for a cool ten dollars.
I wasn’t a fan of the green and gold, but I loved the size and the details.
This mirror has been sitting in my garage just waiting for the day to come for its makeover. Today I finally swung by Home Depot, checked out some paint swatches and scored some white paint, brushes and tape. When I got home, I immediately got to work.
It only took me about 8 minutes to tape-off the mirror and apply the first coat of paint. In the end, I applied 3 coats, while allowing drying time in between applications. Yes, my drop cloth has pink flamingos on it.
This was a REALLY easy project and I am kicking myself for not rolling up my sleeves earlier. I have more ideas swirling around in my head, and hope to accomplish some this weekend as well as next. Only next time, I will take my project to the garage, painting in a bathroom without windows and proper ventilation was a bad choice. I should have listened to my Mother.
What do ya think?
