Sooooo. If you have been following my blog, or have known me IRL for the past few years, you may have realized that sometimes when I run a spring marathon, I like to follow-up said race with another marathon 2-4 weeks later. In 2010 I ran the Earth Day Challenge Marathon, wasn’t satisfied and three weeks later took on the Cleveland Marathon. In 2011 I ran the Boston Marathon and decided to qualify for marathon maniac status and ran The Flying Pig Marathon thirteen days later…I just finished the Halstead & Essex Marathon on May 16th and then on June 16th I will be lacing up the Nikes again for…
Anyone else out there running this event? I’ve always wanted to run an inagural marathon, and I also have a goal of running every marathon in my beloved O-H-I-O. Now that’s what I call a double-dip.

so fun you are doing this! i’d come be your crew but i am doing the fish festival 5k that day!
def cool to do an inaugural race! I ran the 10K they put together to promote the marathon back in February… was pretty well organized so I think the Marathon should be good too. BUT it was the hilliest race I have ever done…so I would be prepared for that. It was literally one hill after another. If you like hills/run well on hills then you are good to go. I do not
Have a good race. I am praying that it is on a nice cool day and that you finish before it gets warm.
Hi, first day to your blog- love it! I am currently registered for the 1/2, but am considering changing to the full at the expo. Ive never ran a full before and am VERY nervous, but I made it to 21.5 miles last Sat with minimal walking (I had to walk about .75 miles due to calf cramping). Any advice for me?
