I stumbled across your blog and NYC race recap through runnersworld. Congrats on a fantastic race! For sure, if you run a 3:24 on on a course like NYC, (with an injury!) you have a sub 3:20 in you! I ran NYC this past sunday as well, and it ended up being the race of my life and a pb for me as well.

Congrats on the PR!! NYC is a tough course, and you have some super speedy workouts that totally indicate you’ll go sub-3:20 sooner rather than later. So glad you had a great time out there (minus the IT band business and cramping…but fighting it out is so admirable) and ran an awesome race!

And this: “The rest of the world really could learn a few things from us marathon runners.” For real. In the last 1.5 miles, I was pretty much dead…no less than THREE runners (from other countries, even!) pulled up beside me and told me I was finishing with them. (They ended up going ahead, I was snail by then…but still. How awesome is that?)
